I spent a week at Grand Palace in Hurghada and loved every moment.
Clean rooms, great food, beautiful pools, and a peaceful vibe.
The staff was kind and helpful, and the private beach was a big plus.

Amazing Stay at Grand Palace!

We stayed at The Grand Palace for three nights during our honeymoon in Egypt and honestly, it was the highlight of our trip. After two nights in Cairo, we flew into Hurghada and landed around 8:40pm. While getting to the resort from the airport was frustrating due to aggressive taxi drivers refusing to use Uber and demanding cash upfront, once we arrived at The Grand Palace, everything changed for the better.
The check-in experience was seamless thanks to Lucas, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. We had booked a junior suite with a partial sea view, but Lucas upgraded us to a panorama view suite, which was stunning. The room was beautiful and thoughtfully prepared, with a fruit basket, honeymoon cake, and a bottle of wine waiting for us — a lovely personal touch.
The food at the resort was excellent, especially for buffet-style dining, with a wide variety of options that were all very tasty. We enjoyed dinners at both the main buffet and the Mexican restaurant, both of which impressed us. Mohammed, the head of food, went above and beyond by arranging a private, multi-course dinner for us at the sky lounge — an intimate and unforgettable experience overlooking the pools and coastline.
The resort itself is perfect for relaxation. We spent most of our days lounging by the pool and beach. The small kiosk near the pool was handy for souvenirs and essentials, but other than that, we didn’t spend extra money outside the all-inclusive package.
We booked an independent excursion to Luxor for a sunrise hot air balloon trip. It was a long night and day (with a 4-hour drive each way), so we appreciated being able to relax back at the resort afterwards.
Islam kindly arranged a late checkout for us on our last day, allowing us to enjoy the resort until mid-afternoon before our evening flight.
Overall, The Grand Palace exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place for a romantic getaway. Our only caution would be to arrange airport transfers through the hotel or pre-booked services, as local taxis and Uber drivers outside the resort can be pushy and unreliable.
The all-inclusive stay, including meals and drinks, cost €490 total, which we felt was excellent value for such a high-quality experience.
We highly recommend The Grand Palace for couples seeking a luxurious, peaceful, and memorable stay in Hurghada.

Wonderful honeymoon stay at The Grand Palace - Couples Only 18+ Hurghada

Well what can say our 5th visit to the Grand Palace in 3 years and the place never fails to amaze from the friendly and courteous staff to the elegant and exceptional rooms.
Now more specifics 
Sammy our room attendant for this visit absolutely brilliant his towel art worth a visit by itself and his friendly and vibrant personality.
Dave (not his real name) from the beach bar a great man and what can I say about his ice coffee go to the beach bar and find Dave ask him for one of his special ice coffee and I dare you not to want more.
Mohammed and Abdul from the pool bar great fellows always around to give great service and again great ice coffee so good I can’t chose between theirs and Dave’s for which one is the best try them and find out and let me know. 
The chaps up the lobby bar to many to mention specifically names but some great chaps always friendly always polite always ready to serve even when it’s busy.
All the chefs from around the hotel so good so much choice it’s probably the hardest decision to make where and what to eat in do you really want to struggle with choice I would say go to the World Restaurant I could spend the day trying to describe the amount food you will have to choose from from lunch dinner tea pudding just so much.
Room service is great for those days when you are just to tuckerd out from all that sun just give them a call and food will be delivered to your door hot and ready to eat.
So happy so relaxed shame to have to go home but we will be back to see Mr Nadir and his fantastic staff in August for a little more sun and more relaxation and try and get to some more of this wonderful place, if you are from England let me assure you this is the place to come for sun sea and relaxing book with Red Seas or like we did via the great staff in Hays Travel and come enjoy Hurgada and the Grand Palace don’t take my word for it see for yourself.

Great hotel with GREAT Staff that make your holiday experience memorable

Lovely hotel, staff, and experience!
ROOM: We stayed in a suite with pool access, the room was very well kept, spacious, enormous bed. Great having direct pool access - and staff popped round regularly for drink orders. It was great to have a late check-out at 1930hrs on the last day. A couple of negatives were lighting - when doing your make-up and the hairdryer isn't great - if you have long or thick hair. 
STAFF: All staff you either passed or interacted with were very polite and friendly. 
BEACH BAR: Khaled, Mahmoud (Turbo), and Sammy at the beach bar were fantastic, very friendly, and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble.
SUNSET BAR: Mustafa was the most genuine, friendly, professional, and warm host. Both Mustafa and his team were so attentive and made you feel very special.
COMPLEX: The whole complex was kept very clean, a couple of times I had to use the public bathrooms, and they were immaculate. Reading books available throughout the complex. 
RESTAURANTS: We only ate in the a la carte restaurants opposed to the buffet. The quality and taste of the food was good. However, if you fancied fish, seafood etc there was an additional cost.
DRINKS: No IPA and not a huge variety of cocktails - but tasted good.  The best ones were at the Sunset Bar - Expresso Martini was delicious but at an additional cost, but as it was so tasty -  I didn't mind paying.  Processco was also an additional cost and had to buy by the bottle (opposed to glass).
ENTERTAINMENT: This is not a hotel if you want to party or want day entertainment. It's very laid back, but you can always go to the nearby bars or Marina for a more lively day/night.
TIPPING: Take small $ bills, or pop to the bank to the left side of the hotel for local currency. Saff dont mind £s, €s or $s. 
MARINA: We went to the Marina, which had a huge variety of restaurants - we felt very safe, and there was no pressure from locals to go into restaurants or shops. 
After years of cruising, this was our first beach holiday and our first time visiting Egypt in May 2025. We enjoyed the hotel and the relax - so we've just rebooked for Sep 2025! It's perfect for a relaxing, quiet, and restful holiday. 



Lovely hotel, staff, and experience

After a bit of an issue on my arrival (the pool access suite was not available until the next day due to an issue with the previous people who were due to depart the suite I was booked into), I finally arrived at my suite and started to enjoy my long awaited holiday.

Special thanks to the reception manager for the assistance of the room and he offered me the apologies for the issues I encountered on my arrival the night before.

I also want to say thanks to Kahleed at the beach bar who was so attentive towards me.



Great relaxing holiday 

Enjoy the beauty of Chao Phraya river and the most famous temples in the city of Angel, Wat Pho, Wat Arun.

Visiting the most famous floating market, Damnoen Saduak market, for shopping and riding the boat in the canal's networks. It is the best place to test local foods and snacks when riding the boat.

Private tour by experienced English-speaking local driver, convenient pickup and drop-off from the cruise port.
