🚆 By Train

Take a train which run daily from Thonburi Station in Bangkok to Namtok Station in Kanchanaburi.

The third-class train service operates twice a day, with morning train No. 257 departing at 07.50 and arriving at Kanchanaburi at 10.25, the River Kwai Bridge at 10.42, and the Namtok Station at 12.35. Afternoon train No. 259 departs at 13.55 and arrives at Kanchanaburi at 16.24, the River Kwai Bridge at 16.33, and the Waterfall Station at 18.30 hrs.

 

🚘 By Car

1. River Kwai Skywalk

This 144-meter-long and 12-meter-high skywalk is a public recreation area that offers breathtaking views of the two-color river. 3. Tiger Cave Temple

The Tiger Cave Temple, located on the top of a mountain, is a temple and tourist attraction surrounded by rice fields. The temple features Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and mixed architecture and has buildings and pagodas. It was originally a small monastery in the Tiger Cave area but was later restored by the villagers to become a large, beautiful temple.

 

4. River Kwai Bridge

Your trip to Kanchanaburi is incomplete without taking a photo with the Bridge over the River Kwai. It's a landmark of Kanchanaburi and a thoroughfare of the Thon Buri - Waterfall Railway or the Death Railway. It's also regarded as the "Symbol of Peace."

 

5. Erawan Waterfall

Located in Erawan National Park, the Erawan Waterfall features seven layers with heights ranging from 100 to 400 meters. It is a waterfall on a limestone mountain range, giving it a bluish-green color when reflecting sunlight. It's a stunning natural attraction that you must see with your own eyes.

7. Tham Krasae Cave

It is located at the infamous "Death Railway" where the Allies WWII prisoners are forcing to build this Thai-Burma railroad in a very harsh condition. Despite its intimidating name, the scenery is breathtaking, with a natural forest and a view of the slow-flowing river Kwai.

 

8. Safari Park

The first open zoo in Kanchanaburi province. It comprises two zones: the open zoo and the animal show area which feature elephant and crocodile show daily. Visitors can take a bus to the open zoo zone, where they can meet various animals such as deer, buffalo, bears, tigers, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, flamingos, and ostriches. The highlight of the area is taking stunning photo with giraffe from the jeep. Also, visitors can participate in the most exciting activity, such as taking a tiger for a walk or bottle-feeding a cub.

 

9. Elephant Conservation Activities at Elephant World

10. Mallika City R.E.124

Mallika City is a retro town that simulates the way of life of Siamese people along the Chao Phraya River during the reign of King Rama V in the year R.E. 124. It depicts the abolition of slavery, trade contacts, cultural exchange, and civilized living, as reflected in the architecture, food, utensils, and clothing.

 

11. Tree Top Adventure Park Kanchanaburi
